# Identify the caller

`GET /api/v1/me`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://app.khotan.com`
- URL: `https://app.khotan.com/api/v1/me`
- Auth: one of:
  - HTTP bearer
  - API key in header `x-api-key`

Returns the organization, role, and key id resolved from the API key.

## Response `200`

The authenticated principal.

  - `role` 'owner' | 'admin' | 'developer' | 'member', required
  - `keyId` string, required

## Other responses

- `401`: Authentication is missing or invalid.
- `429`: Too many requests; retry after the indicated delay.
