# Delete a context document

`DELETE /api/v1/context/{slug}`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://app.khotan.com`
- URL: `https://app.khotan.com/api/v1/context/{slug}`
- Auth: one of:
  - HTTP bearer
  - API key in header `x-api-key`

Soft-deletes the document. It disappears from the manifest and fetches and its slug becomes reusable; the row and its revision history are retained.

## Path parameters

- `slug` string, required

## Response `200`

The document was deleted.

  - `deleted` true, required

## Other responses

- `401`: Authentication is missing or invalid.
- `404`: The resource was not found.
- `429`: Too many requests; retry after the indicated delay.
