# Assign a capture remote to this organization

`POST /api/v1/ai-capture/assignments`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://app.khotan.com`
- URL: `https://app.khotan.com/api/v1/ai-capture/assignments`
- Auth: one of:
  - HTTP bearer
  - API key in header `x-api-key`

Maps a git remote this organization already owns to the caller and backfills parked records for that remote.

## Request body

- object
  - `remote` string, required
  - `displayName` string

## Response `200`

The remote was assigned and parked records were backfilled.

  - `projectId` string, required
  - `backfilled` integer, required

## Other responses

- `400`: The request was malformed or failed validation.
- `401`: Authentication is missing or invalid.
- `403`: The caller is not permitted to perform this action.
- `404`: The resource was not found.
- `409`: Response.
- `429`: Too many requests; retry after the indicated delay.
