# Get a model

`GET /api/v1/models/{model}`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.respan.ai`
- URL: `https://api.respan.ai/api/v1/models/{model}`
- Auth: one of:
  - none
  - HTTP bearer

Returns one model, in the same format as the model list.

Returns `404` if the model does not exist or your project cannot use it.

## Path parameters

- `model` string, required

## Response `200`

The model.

- OpenAIModel
  - `id` string, required: Model ID. Send it as `model` in gateway requests.
  - `object` 'model', required
  - `created` integer, required: Release date as a Unix timestamp, or `0` if unknown.
  - `owned_by` string, required: The organization that develops the model.
  - `context_length` integer, nullable, required: Context window in tokens, or `null` if unknown.
  - `pricing` OpenAIModelPricing, required: Prices in USD.
    - `input_cost` number, nullable, required: Input price per `input_price_unit`. Token and character prices are per 1M.
    - `output_cost` number, nullable, required: Output price per `output_price_unit`. Token and character prices are per 1M.
    - `input_price_unit` 'token' | 'image' | 'second' | 'minute' | 'hour' | 'character', required: Unit for `input_cost`.
    - `output_price_unit` 'token' | 'image' | 'second' | 'minute' | 'hour' | 'character', required: Unit for `output_cost`.

## Other responses

- `404`: The model does not exist or your project cannot use it.
