# Create a project

`POST /projects`

Deprecated: use `POST /org/projects` instead. This route will be removed on 2026-11-24.

Create a new project within the authenticated organization.

## Request body

- CreateProjectRequest
  - `name` string, required — Project name (1-255 Unicode code points)

## Response `201`

Project created successfully

- Project
  - `id` string, required — Unique project identifier
  - `name` string, required — Project name
  - `status` 'active' | 'archived', required — Project status
  - `created_at` string, date-time, required — When the project was created
  - `updated_at` string, date-time, required — When the project was last updated

## Other responses

- `400` — Bad Request – invalid input
- `401` — Unauthorized – missing or invalid authorization token
- `403` — Forbidden – insufficient permissions or plan
- `404` — Resource not found
- `409` — Conflict – resource already exists
- `500` — Internal Server Error
