# Delete a project by ID or name

`DELETE /org/projects/{id_or_name}`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.onkernel.com`
- URL: `https://api.onkernel.com/org/projects/{id_or_name}`
- Auth: HTTP bearer

Soft-delete a project. The project must be empty (no active resources).

## Path parameters

- `id_or_name` string, required

## Response `204`

Project deleted

## Other responses

- `400`: Bad Request – invalid input
- `401`: Unauthorized – missing or invalid authorization token
- `403`: Forbidden – insufficient permissions or plan
- `404`: Resource not found
- `409`: Project deletion conflict. Returns `project_not_empty` when active resources remain; remove them and retry. Returns `last_active_project` when deletion would remove the organization's final active project.
- `500`: Internal Server Error
