# Creating a new Survey Response

`POST /survey_responses`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.mavenlink.com/api/v1`
- URL: `https://api.mavenlink.com/api/v1/survey_responses`
- Auth: none declared

This endpoint returns structured Survey Response objects.
As with all Kantata OX API endpoints, the returned data will be referenced in sorted order in the `results` array
and will be indexed by ID in the `survey_responses` top-level JSON key.

## Request body

- object
  - `survey_response` object
    - `survey_template_id` integer, required: The template that the survey response is based on.
    - `title` string: The title of the survey.
    - `description` string: The description of the survey.
    - `status` string: The status of the survey response.
    - `subject_type` string: The subject type of the survey. Valid values: User, Story, Workspace.
    - `subject_id` integer: The Id of the survey subject.
    - `owner_id` integer: The user who owns the survey response.
    - `respondent_id` integer: The user assigned to complete the survey response.
    - `workspace_id` integer: The workspace the survey is related to.
    - `open_date` string, date: The open date for this survey. The date must be in [ISO 8601](https://www.w3.org/TR/NOTE-datetime) format.
    - `close_date` string, date: The close date for this survey. The date must be in [ISO 8601](https://www.w3.org/TR/NOTE-datetime) format.
    - `due_date` string, date: The due date for this survey. The date must be in [ISO 8601](https://www.w3.org/TR/NOTE-datetime) format.

Survey Response has been created.
