# Get Event Metadata

`GET /events/{event_ticker}/metadata`

## Request

Endpoint for getting metadata about an event by its ticker.  Returns only the metadata information for an event.

- `event_ticker` string, required

## Response `200`

Event metadata retrieved successfully

- GetEventMetadataResponse
  - `image_url` string, required: A path to an image that represents this event.
  - `featured_image_url` string: A path to an image that represents the image of the featured market.
  - `market_details` MarketMetadata[], required: Metadata for the markets in this event.
    - `market_ticker` string, required: The ticker of the market.
    - `image_url` string, required: A path to an image that represents this market.
    - `color_code` string, required: The color code for the market.
  - `settlement_sources` SettlementSource[], required: A list of settlement sources for this event.
    - `name` string: Name of the settlement source
    - `url` string: URL to the settlement source
  - `competition` string, nullable: Event competition.
  - `competition_scope` string, nullable: Event scope, based on the competition.

- `400`: Bad request
- `401`: Unauthorized
- `404`: Event not found
- `500`: Internal server error
