# Get Communications ID

`GET /communications/id`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://external-api.kalshi.com/trade-api/v2`
- URL: `https://external-api.kalshi.com/trade-api/v2/communications/id`
- Auth: API key in header `KALSHI-ACCESS-KEY` and API key in header `KALSHI-ACCESS-SIGNATURE` and API key in header `KALSHI-ACCESS-TIMESTAMP`

Endpoint for getting the communications ID of the logged-in user.

## Response `200`

Communications ID retrieved successfully

- GetCommunicationsIDResponse
  - `communications_id` string, required: A public communications ID which is used to identify the user

## Other responses

- `401`: Unauthorized - authentication required
- `500`: Internal server error
