# Update user

`PUT /v2/users/{user_id}`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.sandbox.eu.bandyer.com`
- URL: `https://api.sandbox.eu.bandyer.com/v2/users/{user_id}`
- Auth: API key in header `apikey`

Update a user by its Id.

## Path parameters

- `user_id` string, required

## Request body

- object
  - `role` 'basic' | 'plus': User role.
  - `allow_camera` boolean: Indicates if a user is allowed to do video call or not.
  - `language` 'en' | 'it' | 'es' | 'pt': Default language of the company and users created.
  - `active` boolean: Indicates if a user is active or not.

## Response `200`

- object
  - `id` string: User Id.
  - `role` string: User role.
  - `allow_camera` boolean: Indicates if user is allowed to do video call or not.
  - `language` string: User language.
  - `creation_date` string, date-time: Creation date of the user.
  - `avatar_url` string: Avatar resource url of the user. **The file pointed by this URL is treated as PII/PHI**
  - `active` boolean: Indicates if the user active or not.

## Other responses

- `400`: Bad request
- `401`: Unauthorized
- `404`: User was not found
- `422`: Unprocessable Content
- `429`: Too Many request
