# Release a Synthetic Book lease

`DELETE /v1/synthetics/subscriptions/{subscription_id}`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://execution.kairos.trade`
- URL: `https://execution.kairos.trade/v1/synthetics/subscriptions/{subscription_id}`
- Auth: API key in header `X-Client-Id` and API key in header `X-Api-Key` and API key in header `X-Api-Secret`

Releases an account-owned lease. The canonical materialization remains live while any other lease references it and otherwise enters its reclamation TTL.

## Path parameters

- `subscription_id` string, uuid, required

## Response `200`

Lease released (also returned when the private handle was already gone).

  - `released` true, required
  - `subscription_id` string, uuid, required

## Other responses

- `401`: Missing or invalid account credentials.
- `403`: Invalid mutation credentials.
- `404`: Lease does not exist or is owned by another account.
- `429`: Synthetic Books request rate limit exceeded.
- `502`: Private materializer unavailable or returned an invalid response.
- `503`: Synthetic Books is not configured on this execution node.
