# Create Workspace

`POST /api/v1/workspaces`

## Request

Create a new workspace.

The authenticated user becomes the workspace owner.

Issue #149: Plan tier enforcement - check multi-workspace restrictions.

- WorkspaceCreate: Request model for creating workspace. Issue #146: OpenAI API key is now optional (can be added later). Issue #169: Default context settings (summary, usage_guide, embedding_model). Issue #276: Slug removed - not used for routing, simplified UX.
