# Test a notification settings with mock data

`POST /v5/notifications/test`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.kadoa.com`
- URL: `https://api.kadoa.com/v5/notifications/test`
- Auth: API key in header `x-api-key`

## Request body

- object
  - `eventType` string, required: Event type to test (e.g., workflow_finished, workflow_data_change)
  - `workflowId` string: Optional workflow ID for workflow-specific testing

## Response `200`

Test event sent successfully

    - `eventId` string: Unique identifier for the event
    - `eventType` string: Event type that was sent
    - `workflowId` string: Workflow ID used in the event (if provided)
  - `status` string
  - `message` string

## Other responses

- `400`: Invalid request (missing eventType or invalid eventType)
- `401`: Unauthorized
- `500`: Internal server error
