# Delete an inactive Assistant session

`DELETE /v5/agent/{sessionId}`

Deletes the session and its related data. Only inactive sessions with a customer-facing thread can be deleted. Re-sending after a successful delete returns 404, which callers should treat as already done.

## Response `204`

Session deleted

## Other responses

- `400`: sessionId is not a UUID
- `404`: Session not found for the authenticated team
- `409`: Session is active, or has no customer-facing thread
