# Resume or unpause a workflow

`PUT /v4/workflows/{workflowId}/resume`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.kadoa.com`
- URL: `https://api.kadoa.com/v4/workflows/{workflowId}/resume`
- Auth: API key in header `x-api-key`

Unpauses a paused workflow, or resumes a preview/error workflow.

## Path parameters

- `workflowId` string, required

## Response `200`

Workflow resumed successfully.

  - `message` 'Workflow unpaused' | 'Workflow resumed' | 'Workflow unpaused and sent for compliance review' | 'Workflow resumed and sent for compliance review'

## Other responses

- `202`: The preview no longer reflects the current settings, so approving it started a new preview run instead. Approve the new preview once it finishes.
- `400`: Cannot resume workflow in current state
- `401`: x-api-key missing or not authorized
- `403`: Not authorized
- `404`: Workflow not found
