Report the state of the canonical data lake BEFORE querying it: which methods are present (direct from a treasury forecast, indirect derived from the GL), the period grains, the FX bases, the GL versions, and how many lines carry an undeclared spine. Call this first. It tells you what the lake CANNOT answer as well as what it can — an aggregate that mixes FX bases, grains or GL versions is not a total, and a reconciliation needs both methods.
