# Delete a secret

`DELETE /v2/sites/{site_id}/live/broadcast/secrets/{secret_id}/`

## Request

- Auth: API key in header `Authorization`

Delete a secret by its ID

Note: Secrets cannot be deleted while in use by active or scheduled LiveStreams.

## Path parameters

- `secret_id` string, required: Unique identifier for a resource
- `site_id` string, required: Unique identifier for a resource

## Response `200`

Secret deleted successfully

## Other responses

- `400`: Invalid JSON request body
- `404`: Resource with ID supplied does not exist in account and object namespace
- `500`: Internal server error
