# Enable the channel

`PUT /v2/sites/{site_id}/channels/{channel_id}/enable/`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.jwplayer.com`
- URL: `https://api.jwplayer.com/v2/sites/{site_id}/channels/{channel_id}/enable/`
- Auth: API key in header `Authorization`

Enables the channels and makes it available for ingest and playback.

## Path parameters

- `site_id` string, required: Unique identifier for a resource
- `channel_id` string, required: Unique identifier for a resource

## Response `204`

The channel has been successfully enabled.

## Other responses

- `404`: Resource with ID supplied does not exist in account and object namespace
