# Update provider name, settings, and contact

`PUT /api/v2/providers/{provider_id}`

## Request

This endpoint edit settings about a provider

## Request body

- object
  - `name` string: MSP display name
  - `settings` ProviderSettingsPut
    - `allowMfaOverride` boolean
    - `requireAdminMFA` boolean
  - `contact` ProviderContactPut: MSP contact; omit a property to leave it unchanged (including contact.email)
    - `name` string
    - `email` string: Include to update the MSP contact email (must be unique across providers)
