# Batch update location assets

`PATCH /api/v2/assets/locations/batch`

Update multiple location assets with a single field value change

## Request body

- JumpcloudHttpAssetsBatchUpdateLocationAssetsRequest: Request payload for batch updating multiple location assets with a single field value
  - `assetIds` string[], required: Array of location asset IDs to update
  - `fieldValue` JumpcloudHttpAssetsBatchUpdateFieldValue: Field value for batch updating assets
    - `label` string, required: The label of the field to update
    - `value` JumpcloudHttpAssetsBatchUpdateReference, required: Reference value for batch update operations
      - `id` string, required: The reference ID
      - `name` string: The reference display name
      - `type` 'user' | 'user_group' | 'location' | 'select' | 'device_group': The type of reference
  - `fields` object: Asset field values organized by field label to update

## Response `200`

Batch update completed

- JumpcloudHttpAssetsBatchUpdateLocationAssetsResponse: Response containing results of batch location asset update operation
  - `updatedAssetCount` integer, required: Number of assets successfully updated
  - `notUpdatedAssetCount` integer, required: Number of assets that could not be updated

## Other responses

- `400`: Bad request - invalid data
- `401`: Unauthorized - authentication required
- `default`: Generic error response
