# Update My Profile

`PATCH /v2/profiles/me`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.jubjubapp.com` (the document declares no server; this is the origin it was published from)
- URL: `https://api.jubjubapp.com/v2/profiles/me`
- Auth: HTTP bearer

Update the authenticated user's own profile.

PATCH semantics: only fields explicitly provided are written.
Mutable fields: display_name, avatar_url, bio.
Email is never written here: when the profile has no confirmed email, a
single-use confirmation link goes to the address given and the response
says `email_confirmation: "sent"`; the email changes when the link is
used (email_confirmation.py). Ignored when a confirmed email exists.

Returns the updated profile.

## Request body

- UpdateMyProfileRequest: PATCH /v2/profiles/me — self-update of mutable profile fields.
  - `display_name` string, nullable: Public display name shown to other users.
  - `avatar_url` string, nullable: URL of the profile avatar image.
  - `bio` string, nullable: Free-form profile bio text.
  - `email` string, nullable: Contact/payout email. Not written directly: a confirmation link is sent to it, and it becomes the profile's email only when the link is used (POST /v2/public/email/confirm). Ignored when the profile already has a confirmed email.

## Response `200`

Successful Response

- ProfileSummary: Lightweight profile data for display purposes. PRIVACY (founder's rule, 2026-09-25): for anyone but the caller themself (`is_you`) and a platform admin, this is the PUBLIC profile only: `profile_id` and `email` are null, `display_name` is a public name or their role, else "Member" (2026-10-08). Your own record carries both.
