# Send a message to the team

`POST /api/contact`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://jointhestudentlife.com`

- Auth: none required

The endpoint behind the website forms. Emails support@jointhestudentlife.com with reply to set to the sender. Only send with the person's consent and their own details. Meant for server side callers: browser pages on other sites get 403. About 20 messages per minute per client.

  - `form_type` string: Which form this is, e.g. agent-question.
  - `dry_run` boolean: Sandbox: validate the message and stop before anything is sent.

## Other responses

- `400`: Missing or invalid fields
- `403`: A browser page on another site (forbidden_origin)
- `405`: Only POST
- `409`: A request with this Idempotency-Key is still being processed
- `422`: Idempotency-Key reused with a different body
- `429`: Rate limited
- `502`: Could not send
- `503`: Not configured
