# Retrieve the latest version of a legal document

`GET /legal-documents/{legal_document_id}/latest`

Retrieves the latest version of a legal document alongside its download URL.

## Path parameters

- `legal_document_id` string, required: The ID of the legal document.

  - `created_at` string, date-time, required: The timestamp (in [ISO-8601](https://www.iso.org/iso-8601-date-and-time-format.html) format) of when the resource was created.
  - `download_url` string, required: Download URL for the legal document version.
  - `effective_at` string, date-time, required: Time the legal document version becomes effective.
  - `file` string, required: ID of the file for the legal document version.
  - `id` string, required: Unique resource identifier.
  - `legal_document` string, required: ID of the parent legal document.
  - `modified_at` string, date-time, required: The timestamp (in [ISO-8601](https://www.iso.org/iso-8601-date-and-time-format.html) format) of when the resource was last modified.
  - `version` string, required: Version of the legal document.
