# Delete a trace file

`DELETE /sessions/{userId}/traces/{filename}`

Removes a specific Playwright trace zip from the server.

## Path parameters

- `userId` string, required
- `filename` string, required

## Response `200`

Trace deleted.

## Other responses

- `400` — Invalid filename.
- `403` — Forbidden.
- `404` — Trace not found.
- `500` — Server error.
