# Look up a stream by ID

`GET /streams/id/{streamDataSource}:{streamId}`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.data.jambase.com/v3`
- URL: `https://api.data.jambase.com/v3/streams/id/{streamDataSource}:{streamId}`
- Auth: HTTP bearer
- TypeScript: <https://skmtc.dev/jambase/apis/jambase-concert-data-api/docs/streams/id/:streamDataSource::streamId/get.ts> (a function with typed inputs; its response is checked against the schema)

Retrieve a single livestream by its JamBase ID — or directly by a supported third-party ID with no ID-mapping step.

## Path parameters

- `streamDataSource` 'jambase', required: Data source slugs to use for Stream IDs
- `streamId` string, required

## Query parameters

- `expandExternalIdentifiers` boolean
- `expandArtistSameAs` boolean

## Response `200`

A single Stream (`Stream`).

- object: A single stream response
  - `success` boolean: A successful response.
  - `stream` Stream: A generic thing
    - `name` string, required: The name of the item
    - `identifier` string, required: A unique identifier of the item
    - `url` string, uri, required: URL of the item
    - `image` string, uri: URL of an illustrative image, such as a press photo or logo. Most images are owned by third parties and JamBase grants no rights in them. Display by URL or from your own cache, refreshed when the URL changes. See https://data.jambase.com/api/docs/images. Please note that `image` may not be provided for all schemas that include `Thing` (for example `Organization`).
    - `sameAs` URL[]: URL of a reference Web page that unambiguously indicates the item's identity
      - `@type` 'URL'
      - `identifier` 'officialSite' | 'facebook' | 'twitter' | 'instagram' | 'youtube' | 'musicbrainz' | 'spotify' | 'androidApp' | 'iosApp': The type of the external URL
      - `url` string, uri: The URL of the external link.
    - `datePublished` string, iso-8601: The date the Event first appeared in ISO 8601 date format [[docs](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ISO_8601)] \ Please note that 'datePublished' may not be provided for all Schemas that include `Thing` (e.g. `Organization`)
    - `dateModified` string, iso-8601: The date the Event was last updated in ISO 8601 date format [[docs](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ISO_8601)] \ Please note that 'dateModified' may not be provided for all Schemas that include `Thing` (e.g. `Organization`). \ Indexing timestamps for Concert / Festival / Stream / MusicGroup / MusicVenue live on `datePublished` and `dateModified`. The sibling `x-createdOnDate` and `x-updatedOnDate` fields are scoped to data-source / `Organization` responses (e.g. ticket vendors, performance-rights organizations) and are not present on Event-derived schemas.
    - `eventStatus` 'scheduled' | 'postponed' | 'rescheduled' | 'cancelled', required: The scheduling status of a live event. This is separate from `deletionStatus`, which appears only on tombstone rows: - `scheduled` — expected to happen at the current `startDate`; show normally. - `postponed` — delayed with no confirmed replacement date yet; keep the row, label it postponed, and avoid promising the current date. - `rescheduled` — moved to a confirmed new date; keep the row, update the date, and use `previousStartDate` when present. - `cancelled` — will not take place as scheduled but remains a live catalog row; keep it for history and joins, then hide it or clearly label it in upcoming views. Always persist `eventStatus` on upsert. None of these values means the row was removed from the catalog.
    - `startDate` string, iso-8601, required: The start date and time of the item using ISO 8601 date format [[docs](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ISO_8601)] \ Please note that `startDate` is returned based on the venue's local time but without an offset. You can find the timezone at `event > location > address > x-timezone` if you need to do any conversions.
    - `endDate` string, iso-8601: The end date of the item using ISO 8601 date format [[docs](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ISO_8601)] \ Please note that `endDate` is returned based on the venue's local time but without an offset. You can find the timezone at `event > location > address > x-timezone` if you need to do any conversions.
    - `previousStartDate` string, iso-8601: For rescheduled events, the previously scheduled start date using ISO 8601 date format [[docs](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ISO_8601)] \ Please note that `previousStartDate` is returned based on the venue's local time but without an offset. You can find the timezone at `event > location > address > x-timezone` if you need to do any conversions.
    - `doorTime` string, iso-8601: The time admission will commence in local time using ISO 8601 date format [[docs](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ISO_8601)] \ Please note that `doorTime` is returned based on the venue's local time but without an offset. You can find the timezone at `event > location > address > x-timezone` if you need to do any conversions.
    - `location` MusicVenue, required: A generic thing
      - `name` string: The name of the item
      - `identifier` string: A unique identifier of the item
      - `url` string, uri: URL of the item
      - `deletionStatus` 'deleted' | 'trashed' | 'merged': Present ONLY on tombstone rows returned by delta polls of currently sourced core feeds (requests that include `dateModifiedFrom`). This removal discriminator is separate from the live scheduling field `eventStatus`: - `deleted` — permanently removed; drop the cached row. - `trashed` — soft-deleted (events only; not an `eventStatus`). Treat the same as `deleted` and drop the cached row. - `merged` — folded into another record; repoint cached references to `mergedInto`. A tombstone row carries only `@type`, `identifier`, `deletionStatus`, `deletedAt`, `dateModified`, and (when `merged`) `mergedInto`. Tombstones count toward `perPage` and `pagination.totalItems` and are appended after live rows. For `deleted` / `trashed`, retention is 90 days from the visible-at `dateModified`; `merged` tombstones never expire. `deletedAt` is the true removal time and can be earlier than `dateModified` after a delayed backfill. Queries without `dateModifiedFrom` never return tombstones. Since 2026-10-29, delta queries filtered by artist or venue carry only matching tombstones: on events, `artistId` matches an artist in the removed event's lineup and `venueId` its venue, both as recorded when the event was removed (a `merged` event matches on the removed event, not the surviving one); on artists and venues, a merged record matches a filter on its own identifier. Their `pagination.totalItems` / `totalPages` count live rows plus the matching tombstones. Removals with no recorded artist or venue (mostly from before 2026-10-29) and deltas filtered by `artistSlug`, `artistName`, `venueSlug`, or `venueName` carry none. To see every removal, run one unfiltered `dateModifiedFrom` sweep (geo and date filters still carry all tombstones), or treat a `400 identifier_invalid` single-record lookup as removed. Current source coverage: events (`deleted`, `trashed`, `merged`), festivals (`deleted`), artists / venues / festival collections (`merged`), and no stream tombstones.
      - `deletedAt` string, iso-8601: The true upstream time when the record left the catalog, in ISO 8601. Present only on tombstone rows. This can be earlier than `dateModified` after a delayed backfill: `dateModified` is the later visible-at timestamp used for delta matching, ordering, and `deleted` / `trashed` retention.
      - `mergedInto` string: On a `merged` tombstone (see `deletionStatus`), the `identifier` of the surviving record this one was folded into. Repoint cached references from `identifier` to `mergedInto`.
      - `maximumAttendeeCapacity` number: The total number of individuals that may attend an event or venue.
      - `address` PostalAddress: A postal address, typically for a MusicVenue
        - `@type` 'PostalAddress'
        - `streetAddress` string: The street address
        - `addressLocality` string: The city/locality in which the place is in
        - `postalCode` string: The postal code
        - `addressRegion` State: A State, Region, or Province. \ Note 1: Available for United States, Canada, and Australia only. \ Note 2: The `country` and `x-numUpcomingEvents` nodes are only provided in the Geography lookup endpoints, not as part of `addressRegion` within a Concert, Festival, or Stream.
          - `@type` 'State'

            - `eventStatus` 'scheduled' | 'postponed' | 'rescheduled' | 'cancelled', required: The scheduling status of a live event. Always persist `eventStatus` on upsert. None of these values means the row was removed from the catalog.

- `@type` 'MusicGroup'
