# Get Genres

`GET /genres`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.data.jambase.com/v3`
- URL: `https://api.data.jambase.com/v3/genres`
- Auth: HTTP bearer

These can be used to filter Artists and Events.\

Returns all Genres in Alphabetical order.

## Response `200`

A list of Genres

- object: An array of Genres \ Results are sorted alphabetically by name
  - `success` boolean: A successful response.
  - `genres` Genre[]
    - `name` string: The display name for the genre.
    - `identifier` 'bluegrass' | 'blues' | 'christian' | 'classical' | 'country-music' | 'edm' | 'folk' | 'hip-hop-rap' | 'indie' | 'jamband' | 'jazz' | 'kpop' | 'latin' | 'metal' | 'pop' | 'punk' | 'reggae' | 'rhythm-and-blues-soul' | 'rock' | 'tribute': Music genres

## Other responses

- `400`: Invalid input parameter
- `401`: API key is missing or invalid
