# Update a card

`PATCH /boards/{board_id}/cards/{card_id}`

Update editable card fields (title, description, stages, clone
lifecycle settings) and/or move the card (state, column_key,
priority, assignee_agent_id). 404 when the board or card is not
found.

- CardUpdate: Request body for ``PATCH /api/v1/boards/{bid}/cards/{cid}``. ``extra="forbid"`` rejects unknown fields with a 422 instead of silently accepting them (QA BUG-050). ``org_task_number`` is server-assigned and therefore rejected here by the same rule.
