# List a chat's messages

`GET /api/v1/chats/{chat_id}/messages`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.izap.ai` (the document declares no server; this is the origin it was published from)
- URL: `https://api.izap.ai/api/v1/chats/{chat_id}/messages`
- Auth: HTTP bearer

Returns the conversation's messages newest first, with paging. Each message carries its author, content, timestamp and delivery status. Any chat id belonging to the conversation may be used.

## Path parameters

- `chat_id` string, uuid, required

## Query parameters

- `page` integer
- `page_size` integer
- `since` string, date-time, nullable: ISO-8601 timestamp. When set, only messages strictly *newer than* `since` are returned (exclusive — a message timestamped exactly at `since` is not repeated). Intended for incremental polling: pass the newest `timestamp` seen so far instead of refetching a full page and diffing client-side.

- `403`: The credential is valid but not authorized for this action.
- `404`: The resource, or the business named in the request, does not exist.
