# POST /v2/taps/{tapId}/consume

`POST /v2/taps/{tapId}/consume`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.iyk.app`
- URL: `https://api.iyk.app/v2/taps/{tapId}/consume`
- Auth: HTTP basic

Consuming a tap will return the chip details associated with it. If the tap has already been consumed, it will return a 400 status code.

## Path parameters

- `tapId` string, required

## Response `200`

Tap

- Tap
  - `id` string, required: The unique identifier of the tap.
  - `chipId` string, required: The unique identifier of the chip.

## Other responses

- `400`: The request did not match the expected schema
- `401`: Unauthorized
- `404`: TapNotFound
