# Search system events

`GET /operations-manager/events`

Searches the system events that can be used in an event Trigger.

## Query parameters

- `source` string: The source of the event.
- `topic` string: The event topic.

## Response `200`

The events that matched the search query.

- OperationsManagerGetEventsResponse200: A success response from an API method
  - `message` string, required: A human-readable message summarizing the result of the operation
  - `data` OperationsManagerEventsGetResponsesContentApplicationJsonSchemaDataItems[], required: Any successfully retrieved information related to the request.
    - `source` string: The source of the event.
    - `topic` string: The event topic.
  - `metadata` object, required: Any structured, wordy or machine-readable information related to the result of the operation. For success responses, this may contain information like pagination values from a search operation.
