# Regenerate client secret

`PATCH /oauth/serviceAccounts/{client_id}/regenerate`

Regenerates the client_secret and returns the new value.

## Path parameters

- `client_id` string, required: String representation of a MongoDB ObjectId

The new client credentials for a service account

- OauthRegenerateSecretResponse200: The updated client credentials for an existing service account
  - `client_id` string: String representation of a MongoDB ObjectId
  - `client_secret` string: Uuid representation of client secret
