# Validate a Golden Config spec

`POST /configuration_manager/validate`

Validates a Golden Config spec document without saving it. Runs the same syntax and semantic checks that the create and update spec endpoints run before saving. Use it to confirm that a generated document is valid before you submit it for creation or update.
