# Create a site

`POST /v1/sites`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.ironfang.com/audit`
- URL: `https://api.ironfang.com/audit/v1/sites`
- Auth: one of:
  - HTTP bearer
  - HTTP bearer

Registers a public website for the authenticated organisation. The URL must pass the public-target policy and the organisation must be below the site capacity limit (250 sites unless the deployment sets otherwise, for every organisation whatever it pays). A crawl policy is held inside the crawl ceilings and the per-audit page cap. robots.txt is respected unless the policy explicitly sets `respect_robots` to false.

## Request body

  - `crawl_policy` object: Fields of the site's crawl policy (see CrawlPolicy); omitted fields take the ceilings or defaults. `respect_robots` is true unless it is given as false.
  - `name` string, required
  - `timezone` string
  - `url` string, uri, required

## Response `201`
