# Archive a monitor (one-way; its audits and evidence remain)

`POST /v1/monitors/{monitorId}/archive`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.ironfang.com/audit`
- URL: `https://api.ironfang.com/audit/v1/monitors/{monitorId}/archive`
- Auth: one of:
  - HTTP bearer
  - HTTP bearer

Permanently archives the organisation's monitor so it cannot be resumed or run again. Its previous audits and evidence remain subject to their existing retention policy.
