# Get Records Export Status

`GET /records/exports/{exportId}`

## Request

- Auth: API key in header `Authorization` and OAuth 2

Poll the status of a previously created async records export. When the export is complete, the response includes a signed `downloadUrl` (valid for 15 minutes; see `expiresAt`) to stream the file directly. The export is scoped to the user who created it.

**OAuth Scope required:** `public.records.readRecords`

- `exportId` string, uuid, required: The export identifier.

## Response `200`

The current status of the export.

    - `status` 'complete', required: The export finished and is ready to download.
    - `filename` string, required: The exported file's name.
    - `downloadUrl` string, required: A signed URL to download the exported file. Valid for 15 minutes from this response; re-poll for a fresh URL after it expires.
    - `expiresAt` string, date-time, required: ISO-8601 timestamp when downloadUrl expires (15 minutes after this response).

    - `exportId` string, uuid, required: The export identifier.
    - `status` 'failed', required: The export failed.
    - `failureReason` 'invalid_argument' | 'internal_error', required: Why the export failed. `invalid_argument` means the request was rejected and should be corrected before retrying; `internal_error` means a transient or internal failure that may succeed on retry.
