# Update a user's project role

`PATCH /projects/{project_id}/members/{user_id}`

Update the project role for an existing member.

The caller must have ``project:manage_members`` on the project's
organization — enforced by RLS on the user-scoped client.

- `project_id` string, uuid, required
- `user_id` string, uuid, required

## Request body

- UpdateProjectMemberBody
  - `project_role_id` string, required: ID of the project role to assign.
