# Create a quote

`POST /api/quotes`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.invoicevista.com`
- URL: `https://api.invoicevista.com/api/quotes`
- Auth: one of:
  - HTTP basic
  - API key in header `Authorization`

Creates a quote. Requires the `quotes:write` scope. Emits a `quote.created` webhook.

The created quote

## Other responses

- `403`: API key is missing the `quotes:write` scope
- `429`: API key rate limit exceeded
