# Create a customer

`POST /api/customers`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.invoicevista.com`
- URL: `https://api.invoicevista.com/api/customers`
- Auth: one of:
  - HTTP basic
  - API key in header `Authorization`

Creates a customer. Requires the `customers:write` scope. Emits a `customer.created` webhook.

- `403`: API key is missing the `customers:write` scope
- `429`: API key rate limit exceeded
