# Delete

`DELETE /groups/{id}`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.instruxi.dev/api/v1/enforcer`
- URL: `https://api.instruxi.dev/api/v1/enforcer/groups/{id}`
- Auth: one of:
  - API key in header `Authorization`
  - API key in header `X-API-Key`

Deletes a group (ResourceAuth write: the group's creator, its tenant's admin, or a system admin). A SOFT delete: the row is tombstoned and stops granting, but is no longer readable through the API — to retire a team while keeping the record that it existed and who was in it, use POST /groups/{id}/archive instead. 403 group_type_reserved on a group of a RESERVED type: only its service retires one.
