# Updates a Project Category

`PUT /ProjectCategories`

## Request

This endpoint is used to update an existing project category. This endpoint is only accessible to users with administrator permission.

Project Category updated.

## Other responses

- `400`: Data validation error.
- `401`: Authentication failed.
- `403`: API User does not have permission to edit Project Categories.
- `404`: Project Category not found.
- `409`: Project Category cannot be updated because it has been deactivated.
