# Get current epoch settings

`GET /epoch-settings`

Returns the information related to the current epoch:
  * protocol parameters for next epoch (to setup cryptography, allowing signers to register)
  * signers for current epoch
  * signers for next epoch
  * cardano transactions signing configuration for current epoch

- EpochSettingsMessage — Epoch settings
  - `epoch` integer, required — Cardano chain epoch number
  - `signer_registration_protocol` ProtocolParameters — Protocol cryptographic parameters
    - `k` integer, required — Quorum parameter
    - `m` integer, required — Security parameter (number of lotteries)
    - `phi_f` number, double, required — f in phi(w) = 1 - (1 - f)^w, where w is the stake of a participant
  - `current_signers` Signer[], required
    - `party_id` string, required — The unique identifier of the signer
    - `verification_key` string, byte, required — The public key used to authenticate signer signature
    - `verification_key_signature` string, byte — The signature of the verification_key (signed by the Cardano node KES secret key)
    - `operational_certificate` string, byte — The operational certificate of the stake pool operator attached to the signer node
    - `kes_period` integer — The number of updates of the KES secret key that signed the verification key
  - `next_signers` Signer[], required
    - `party_id` string, required — The unique identifier of the signer
    - `verification_key` string, byte, required — The public key used to authenticate signer signature
    - `verification_key_signature` string, byte — The signature of the verification_key (signed by the Cardano node KES secret key)
    - `operational_certificate` string, byte — The operational certificate of the stake pool operator attached to the signer node
    - `kes_period` integer — The number of updates of the KES secret key that signed the verification key
  - `cardano_transactions_signing_config` CardanoTransactionsSigningConfig — Cardano transactions signing configuration
    - `security_parameter` integer, required — Number of blocks to discard from the tip of the chain when importing Cardano transactions
    - `step` integer, required — Number of blocks between signature of Cardano transactions
