# Triggered when a WhatsApp message is edited.

`POST message:edited` (webhook)

## Payload

- MessageEditedData
  - `event_type` 'message:edited', required: Webhook event name
  - `message` MessageEditedInfo, required: Notice that a WhatsApp message was edited. No chat, account, or attachments.
    - `message_uid` string, required: Same value as uid on GET /messages/{uid}.
    - `whatsapp_message_id` string, required: WhatsApp's message id for that message, the same value on every connected number that synced it; dedup key across numbers.
    - `text` string, required: New message text, sanitized the same way as text on message:sent:new.
    - `previous_text` string, required: Message text before this edit. Empty when the message had no text.
    - `message_timestamp` string, required: WhatsApp message time. Same clock as timestamp on GET /messages/{uid} and on message:sent:new.
    - `edited_timestamp` string, required: When this edit was recorded.

## Acknowledgement `200`

Receiver accepted the event
