# Set the workspace time zone or language for dates and numbers

`PATCH /v1/tenant`

Sets the workspace time zone (`timeZone`, an IANA id such as `Europe/London`) and/or locale (`locale`: is-IS, en-US, en-GB, da-DK, nb-NO, sv-SE, de-DE, fr-FR, es-ES). The time zone decides when schedules switch, what screen clocks show and when time-based slide conditions apply; set it first for a new workspace. The locale sets number and date formats in presentations; changing it re-renders them. Admin key only.
