# Replace a slideshow with a new version of the PowerPoint or PDF

`PUT /v1/slideshows/{id}/file`

Destructive: replaces the slideshow's PowerPoint or PDF with a new one (`multipart/form-data`, a single `file` part, up to 100 MB). Media slides, live data slides and slideshow settings are kept. Page settings (duration, hidden) and visibility rules stay with page numbers the new file still has; those for pages past its end are removed. Queues a re-render; watch `renderStatus`.
