# Hide, retime or edit a slide, such as changing the price on a live slide

`PATCH /v1/slides/{id}`

Changes one slide: how long it shows (`durationSeconds`, 1-300) and whether it is hidden (`hidden`). Use it to hide or show a slide, or make it stay longer or shorter. A dynamic slide also takes `templateId`, `sourceId`, `fieldMapping` (generated when the template or source changes without one), `overrideData` (merged into the slide's own values, a null value removes one: use it to change a price or a line of text on a slide not fed by a Push source) and `countdown` (`{overlayId, mode: fixed|daily|source, targetTime|dailyTime|sourceField}`, `[]` clears it). Text inside an uploaded PowerPoint cannot be edited: replace the file instead. To expire or take down a slide on a date, set a date condition via `PUT /v1/slides/{id}/conditions` instead of scheduling a delete. Omitted fields are left unchanged.
