# Play a slideshow on whichever screen makes sense, without knowing its id

`POST /v1/play`

## Request

Same as `POST /v1/devices/{id}/play`, but the target screen is in the body (`deviceId`) and may be omitted when the workspace has one screen, or the slideshow is already playing on exactly one — otherwise `NeedsClarification` lists the candidate screens.
