# Choose which slideshow a screen plays

`POST /v1/devices/{id}/schedule`

Sets the slideshow a screen plays whenever no timed window or takeover applies (its default entry), replacing the previous one: `{"slideshowIds": ["..."]}` with exactly one id (a list for historical reasons; playlists are not supported). Timed windows are kept. An orientation mismatch attaches an `AspectMismatch` warning rather than failing, and an HTML slideshow on a screen whose app cannot play HTML attaches `HtmlPlaybackUnsupported`. `POST /v1/devices/{id}/play` does the same after checking for conflicts first.
