# Try AI Studio for free

`POST /v1/ai-studio/trial`

Starts the workspace's free AI Studio trial: 7 days or 3 slides, whichever comes first, making slides from a text description (`handler: prompt`). It can be used once per workspace, so ask the person before starting it; `POST /v1/slideshows/{id}/slides/ai` says `trialAvailable: true` in its `EntitlementRequired` details when it is still unused. Returns `state`, `slidesRemaining` and `endsAt`; calling it again while the trial runs returns the same. `includedInPlan: true` means the plan already has AI Studio. A used trial returns `EntitlementRequired` with `upgradeUrl`.
