# Receive Messenger consent update event

`POST receive-messenger-consent-update` (webhook)

Event is sent when the person opts in or opts out of Marketing Messages. The `event` field indicates the type: `SUBSCRIBE` for opt-in, `UNSUBSCRIBE` for opt-out. For this to work you need to configure subscriptions. Refer to [Subscriptions Management](https://www.infobip.com/docs/subscriptions/manage) for additional info. <br/> Collecting subscription tokens still works on the Messenger platform. However, marketing messages on Messenger are no longer available for new users. For existing users, this feature will be deprecated on January 12, 2026. After this date, marketing messages will no longer be supported.

    - `channel` string, required: Channel identifier.
    - `event` 'SUBSCRIBE' | 'UNSUBSCRIBE', required: Subscription event type.
    - `sender` string, required: Business identifier (Facebook page ID).
    - `from` string, required: End-user identifier (page-scoped user ID).
    - `createdAt` string, required: ISO 8601 timestamp of the event.
    - `channelData` Cc99cb7b0e48638be90df2dee94fb1aaadb95bcd09a6944a79bd00ca6a59df77MessengerConsentChannelData, required: Messenger-specific subscription data.
      - `notificationMessagesToken` string, required: Token required to send future marketing messages.
      - `tokenExpiry` string: Date when the notification message token expires.
      - `userTokenStatus` 'REFRESHED' | 'NOT_REFRESHED' | 'UNKNOWN': Status of user token.
      - `notificationMessagesTimezone` string: Timezone for the person receiving the message.
      - `subscriptionPayload` string: Payload string from the subscription opt-in button.
      - `subscriptionTitle` string: Title of the subscription opt-in.

## Acknowledgement `200`

Your server returns this code if it accepts the callback.
