# Update an item

`PATCH /people/3/lists/{listName}/items/{itemId}`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.infobip.com` (the document declares no server; this is the origin it was published from)
- URL: `https://api.infobip.com/people/3/lists/{listName}/items/{itemId}`
- Auth: one of:
  - OAuth 2
    - Client credentials
    - Token URL: `https://api.infobip.com/auth/1/oauth2/token`
  - API key in header `Authorization`
  - API key in header `Authorization`
  - HTTP basic

Updates the fields of a list item that are passed in the request.
Missing fields will keep their values.
Returns all items of the updated list attribute.

- `listName` string, required
- `itemId` string, required

## Query parameters

- `type` 'ID' | 'EXTERNAL_ID' | 'PHONE' | 'EMAIL' | 'LINE' | 'FACEBOOK' | 'TELEGRAM' | 'PUSH' | 'LIVE_CHAT' | 'VIBER_BOTS' | 'INSTAGRAM' | 'INSTAGRAM_DM' | 'TWITTER' | 'APPLE_BUSINESS_CHAT' | 'KAKAO_SANGDAM' | 'OPEN_CHANNEL' | 'ZALO_FOLLOWER' | 'TIKTOK_BM' | 'WHATSAPP' | 'KAKAO_TALK', required: Type of the person ID. Can be one of the above.
- `identifier` string, required: Person ID. ID type must match the `type` parameter.
- `sender` string: Sender or application ID.`sender` is required for all identifier types except `ID`, `EXTERNAL_ID`, `PHONE`, `EMAIL`

## Request body

- object: Item fields for update.<br>Can't be less than 1 and more than 128 fields.<br>If value of a field explicitly passed as NULL, it will delete a current value of the field.

## Response `200`

- `401`: Unauthorized
- `403`: Forbidden
- `404`: Not found
- `429`: Too Many Requests
- `500`: Internal Server Error
